Witch Stone – Polyhedron on stand

The "Witch's Stone" is found in the 'Pays de Saintonge', a former province of France. It dates back to Ancient Greece and the Platonic Solids. These starry polyhedrons could be seen above pillars or on various artworks because they brought balance and harmony and repelled bad luck! This is why the 'Compagnons du Devoir' have always made it a symbolic work to carve and this tradition has been transmitted until the present day.
