Selene Horse Head - Small black Model A smaller model of our extraordinary Selene Horse Head. This sculpture was inspired by a fragment of an ancient Greek fresco of the eastern front of the Acropolis. There, the birth of the goddess Athena was depicted, while other gods looked on. The sun god Helios rose from the ocean, while the moon goddess Selene with her horses was just setting. The original horse's head is on display at the British Museum in London. This version has a beautiful black marble look.
