The Arctic hare (Lepus arcticus) is a hare in the Leporidae family. The summer coat is gray-brown and the winter coat is snow-white, but the tips of the ears and soles of the feet remain black throughout the year. Thanks to the thick winter coat, little heat is lost in the freezing cold. They have large paws, which prevent sinking into the snow layer. The animal is 40 to 60 cm tall and has a tail that is 5 to 10 cm long.
