Plaster study of the torso of a mythological satyr. The figure is characterised by the small tail above the buttocks, a classic attribute that refers to its mythological origins. The sculpture comes from the Academy of Brussels and dates from the 1950s. Characteristic of this period is the finish with marble powder, which gives the surface a subtle sheen and lends the sculpture a refined appearance.
