Stuffed mountain parakeet in beautiful plumage. This parakeet is beautifully rendered, with a great eye for anatomy and detail. The budgerigar or mountain parakeet (Polytelis anthopeplus) is a bird in the Psittaculidae (Old World parrots) family. They are found in the wild in Australia, mainly in the southwestern part of Western Australia and around Adelaide.
