Old Anduze jar
Old large Anduze terracotta garden urn from 1997. The pot comes from French orangerie so it is well preserved. Proving to be in very decorative condition the whole is well-aged with the glaze now flaking commensurate with age and weathering and there are a few small areas of loss to the rim with some slight damages throughout the rest of the piece though nothing major or that detracts from the whole. The Boisset family have been producing terracotta pots in the Anduze region using traditional methods and the earth from the surrounding area since its founding in 1803 by Etienne Boisset. Today the company is run by Lilian Metge and her husband Richard Jusquet.
