Cassina was founded in 1927 by Umberto Cassina in the Italian village of Meda. The center for Italian design. In the 1950s, Cassina introduced industrial design to Italy. Cassina managed to attract the most talented designers such as Le Corbusier, Frank LIoyd Wright and Gerrit Rietveld. This group of designers is called I Maestri (Masters) by Cassina. From this collaboration, design classics such as the Zig Zag chair, the Red and Blue chair and the LC series were born.
