Stuffed head of a Blonde Limousin cow. The Limousin is a cow breed, originally from Central Massif. Since the late 17th century in Limousin province bred as a working breed. Charles de Léobardy laid a basis for a meat / work type in the middle of the 19th century. The meat / work type was recorded in 1900-1930. It was performed and bred in 60 countries. Characteristics The Limousin is a large variety; a cow is 150-160 cm high and a bull 170-180 cm. The Limousin is blonde-red to red-brown and has fairly long horns. The bull line is selected for giving light calves (so less often a caesarean section is required)
