Mounted head of a Blond Limousin bull

Taxidermy head of a Blonde Limousin bull. The Limousin is a breed of cow, originally from Massif Central. Bred as a working breed since the late 17th century in Limousin province. Charles de Léobardy laid a foundation for a meat/work type in the middle of the 19th century. The meat/work type was established in 1900-1930. It was exported and bred in 60 countries. Characteristics The Limousin is a large breed; a cow grows to 150-160 cm in height and a bull 170-180 cm. The Limousin is blond red to reddish brown and has fairly long horns. The bull line is selected for giving light calves (so there is less need for a caesarean section).
